In this tutorial I'm gonna give you a quick trick in order to get to work your VPN in Elastix with a Yealink phone.

The VPN Server is integrated in Elastix thanks to the addon 'EasyVPN' so we are just going to focus on the little trick. ;)
You can install the module via web or if you like to use the shell the command is: yum install elastix-easyvpn
Mac ftp gui. You have to get the exact version because in that version the chiper was MD5. For the current version of 'easy-rsa' the chiper is SHA256.
For Yealink phones on version 7X we have to have MD5 as our default chiper.
Once that you have installed the 'EasyVPN' you have to replace this 3 files locate in the directory /usr/share/easy-rsa/2.0/:
openssl-0.9.6.conf
openssl-0.9.8.conf
openssl-1.0.0.conf
with the ones that are in the package that we download on the step 2.
After you have replaced those files (be careful with the file permissions) you can start the configuration process of the module.
I only attached a capture of the last part for the configuration because it's the only one where you actually insert some configuration parameters. Workspaces 1 5 2013.
At the end you have to start creating the client certificates so they can connect to your VPN server. For these you have to be sure about your Yealink's firmware because you have 2 types of certificates:
- For phones with firmware version 71 or up
- For phones with firmware version 71 or lower
Insert a name for your certicate and when it's done just download it to your PC. You will get a TAR file. https://nixmedical634.weebly.com/firefox-for-mac-touch-bar.html.
What operating system does the new macbook pro use. You have to upload this TAR file to the phone and that's all.
As I told you earlier: Yealink actually works with MD5 and SHA1 ciphers. They don't work with SHA256 yet. So If you don't make the change, you will get a error about TLS negotiation.
In order to make sure that you are using MD5, you can check the parameter 'Signature Algorithm' in the /etc/openvpn/server.crt file.
